Flushing The Hydraulic System
Basta Boatlifts uses environmentally friendly hydraulic fluid. We recommend doing a hydraulic fluid flush every 3 to 5 years, depending on use. The best indication of needing a fluid flush is a changed pitch and tone of the boat lift’s hydraulic pump while in operation. Basta Boatlifts suggests calling your local authorized dealer for service, or if you choose to do the work yourself, use the guides below on how to perform the hydraulic flush.
To perform a flush yourself, you will need the supplies found in this Hydraulic Flush Kit. While not required, using a Basta Flush Bucket aides in performing the flush on your own.

Low Voltage:
Similar to the sound a vehicle makes when its battery has low charge or is dead, the lift’s main battery will create the noise heard in the following clip. This chattering noise can be resolved by replacing the battery with a one that is fully charged.
